And thanks to the double, cleverly designed 18 cm Esotec + long-stroke bass drivers, with new rolled edges and made of the very light magnesium silicate polymer, an open middle area and a tight bass response are the result. Cerotar: a new type of tweeter for the Dynaudio Evoke 50
At the top of the Dynaudio Evoke 50 speaker is a newly designed treble transducer: the Cerotar tweeter. Under the 28mm soft dome of this tweeter is the newly developed Hexis dome, which can only be found in the Confidence models. This Hexis dome optimizes airflow behind the soft dome to smooth out the tweeter’s frequency response and eliminate unwanted resonances. The new ‘motor’ uses ceramic strontium carbonate ferrite + magnets to increase efficiency, resulting in a silky smooth high and speed in reproduction.
